Keystone: Block out the noise, pipeline still likely a go

Opponents to TransCanada Corp.’s Keystone XL cheered the decision by the U.S. State Dept. rejecting the company’s pipeline, but analysts Thursday reminded everyone that Keystone is far from dead.
“Recent commentary from [TransCanada] indicated that a new route in Nebraska was just weeks away from being finalized,” said Chad Friess, analyst with UBS.
The State Dept. was required to make a decision on the Keystone pipeline, which would have carried bitumen from the oil sands in Canada to refineries on the U.S. Gulf Coast, by February 21. READ MORE
